More weekend walks

Here is another Saturday excursion where we decided to walk to the Art Museum and see what was new there.

Preparing to take wedding pictures - out on the street
From Several weekend walks

This is a common thing in Taiwan with couples going to a wedding photo studio for a day long extravaganza at a time unrelated to their actual wedding. The studio provides costumes (the gown is likely not her real wedding dress) and settings both indoors and outdoors. The couple then gets a whole book of photos.

Digging work in the street - putting in some pipes
From Several weekend walks

What is wrong with this picture? First the digger decides to block the entire street without warning to cars coming in either direction, though it is not a major thoroughfare. Second, look closely at the treads (or lack thereof) on the digger. It ended up doing as much damage to the street as repair work.

And one of my favorite facades - this one is on Taichung Gong Rd (main artery) and one I run past in the morning

Starting back up

Wow! I cannot believe that my last post was in September. And it is now February - after October and November (crazy times at work), December holidays back in the US, and looking forward to Chinese New Year next week.

A lot of catching up to do here.
